This year, in contrast to every other, I have received, by
email, a number of good Valentine’s Day wishes from professionals involved in
the legal business. Does this mean that Valentine’s Day has become just another
generic holiday, removed from any religious connotation? Probably. Arguably, it
always was—at least during my lifetime.
I’m a sucker for hearts and flowers and
pink stuff, though, so it actually is a great way to get in front of me—and in
front of many others, I’m sure. I am pretty much guaranteed to double-click
to open something Valentine-related.
Why not wish someone a little sweetness at this time of
year? I’ll remember you fondly, appreciate the graphics if you happen to do
design. February 14 seems like an easy marketing opportunity. Note to self:
Send a few professional Valentines next year.
