Lawyers Dating Lawyers, Paralegals, Their Clients, The Competition

To de-stress, I read tabloids purely for the fun of them. I keep up with Kardashians even though I’m not entirely sure who they are, I follow news about Joan Rivers’s surprising end, I like to learn where celebrities lunch. Lawyerly gossip doesn’ t often make Page Six, but it’s sure to be engaging if it does. Lawyers when they’re good, they’re really, really good, but sometimes when they are bad, they are horrid.

Lawyers work hard, they spend way too much time in their offices, it’s a tense atmosphere, it shouldn’t be any wonder that law firms can be incestuous places. What practitioners need to think about is what they’ll do when opportunity arises—and what might happen if they’re found out.  Thinking to yourself, how bad can it get? Read this: Isabel Vincent  & Melissa Klein, Affair and vengeful wife rip apart 9/11 law firm, New York Post (Nov. 9, 2014).
