Ladies, Plead the 19th . . .

The text of the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution
And vote. Hard to believe we didn’t get this right until the ratification of the 19th Amendment to the Constitution—in 1920. My grandfather was one year old then. His mother was at least 22 and possibly 27. My great-grandmother could have two children, marry, and work, but she didn’t have the right to vote before that year.

Marry or not, have children or not, work or not . . . but vote.
