So often, the language of lawyers emphasizes the ‘can’t’: You can’t do that because . . .,
That would violate this . . ., You’ll be vulnerable legally if
you . . . .
It is refreshing, then, to learn of some lawyers undertaking a more
collaborative approach, with clients, with consultants, and even with other law
firms and nonclients. In the May 2015 issue of Of Counsel, I chronicle the efforts of some environmental lawyers
and others to walk together on this newer, friendlier path.
